Family Life
Having lost her father and uncle as she started the journey, there were some very challenging times. But Rianah remained with her eye on the prize.
“When I am having a bad day, I think about how far I have come and the end result. When I felt like giving up, I would actually hear my dad in my head saying, ‘Go Yana!’ and I could see him doing a little dance for me as well. I know that he would have been so proud of me, and he would have been my number one supporter. I miss him so much.”

Keeping motivated on a daily basis is important, says Rianah.
“One of my favourite quotes is: ‘You can be sore or sorry tomorrow – you decide.’
Rianah remains positive about continuing her healthy living journey. “I still have a little bit of extra weight I would like to lose, and I really want to tone up some more. Eating clean (thanks FitChef!) and continuing to gym will play a huge role in getting to my future goal.
I have so much love and support from my friends and family that it won’t be impossible. I just need to keep my head in the game.”
