FitChef is perfectly safe for pregnant and breastfeeding moms. In fact, our meals and smoothies are highly nutritious and will help your body get all the nutrients it needs.

FitChef is as clean as it gets: there are no preservatives, no artificial flavourants and no sugar or sweeteners.

Most of our meals are low in refined carbs and boosted only with healthy carbs only from veggies or fruit.

We use grass fed, steroid and hormone free meats and a lot of effort goes into making sure all our food is of the highest quality.

Pregnant moms have raved about the convenience of our meals and especially the FGS Fruity Green Smoothie (made from spinach and fruit), which help with anaemia, constipation and other issues. So the food is certainly great for moms-to-be.

For breastfeeding moms, we are all too aware that colic is a horrible experience and it can be tricky to determine exactly what causes it.

If you want to eat FitChef meals, we suggest that you keep a colic diary and record what you eat and monitor how your baby reacts within 24 hrs.

We are working with a dietician on this and will hopefully have a plan for nursing moms later this year that will come a colic diary and a specially designed meal kit.

We only use nature’s ingredients. You won’t find man-made chemical preservatives, colourants, additives or other highly refined ingredients.

We don’t add gluten flours or starchy thickeners to our meals. Most importantly, we don’t add sugars, whether artificial or concentrated, or refined salt.

We use nature’s whole-food ingredients so that our meals are generally low carb and high in fibre.

We have sourced meat from grass-fed/free range farms and that are free of routine antibiotics and growth hormones.
